Logistics Tasks

Scenario

In this exercise, we will look into logistic the tasks required, such as arranging transportation and lodging for the engagement team (if needed). In most pen testing assignments, these tasks are the responsibility of the ETL or his or her designated representative.
Which tasks are performed will depend on the location of the client and the policies of your company regarding the choice of travel methods and lodging accommodations.
Lab Duration5 Minutes

    1. Using the information contained in the Rules of EngagementTest Plan and YY-DD-MM**-FNBF****_ProjPlan.pod**, determine:
      1. The start and end dates of the on-site portion of the engagement,
      2. Primary location where on-site work will be performed,
      3. Additional on-site locations that need to be visited,
      4. Number of personnel participating in the on-site portion of engagement,
      5. Amount of equipment required by the engagement team,
      6. The requirement (if any) for the Social Engineering and Vulnerability Assessment teams to travel separately from the main body, and
      7. Requirement (if any) for COOP (Continuity of Operations)
    2. Use the guidance in Appendix 4 and company policies to determine the most cost-effective method of transportation for the engagement team and its equipment to and from the client site.

    1. Using the information contained in the Rules of EngagementTest Plan and YY-DD-MM**-FNBF****_ProjPlan.pod**, determine:
      1. The start and end dates of the on-site portion of the engagement,
      2. Primary location where on-site work will be performed,
      3. Additional on-site locations that will be visited,
      4. Number of personnel participating in the on-site portion of engagement,
      5. The requirement (if any) for the Social Engineering and Vulnerability Assessment team to travel separately from the main body,
      6. Requirement (if any) for COOP (Continuity of Operations), and
      7. Proximity of suitable accommodations to the TORG facilities.
    2. Use the guidance in Appendix 4 and company policies to determine the most cost-effective lodging for the engagement team.

    1. Navigate to YY-DD-MM**-FNBF****\00_Administration\00B_ProjPlan\** and open the YY-DD-MM**-FNBF****_ProjPlan.pod** file.
    2. Modify the information as necessary to update the project plan based on the tasks performed in this work area.
